South Wales Aviation Museum
Hangar 872, Bro Tathan North, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 4QRSouth Wales Aviation Museum (SWAM) is the largest aviation museum in Wales! An amazing family-friendly insight into aviation history and exhibits all run by volunteers. Construction of accessible access to the café began in April 2024, but the museum is wheelchair accessible.

Getting to South Wales Aviation Museum
By Car: Free car parking on-site, opposite the museum, available during opening hours.
By Train: Travel to Llantwit Major train station and take the bus service which stops 800 metres from the museum at Eglwys Brewis Road after Picketstone Close, Eglwys-Brewis bus stop.
By Bus: Take the 304 bus along Eglwys Brewis Road and stop at Picketstone Close. From here walk along Eglwys Brewis Road till you reach the entrance of the airfield.
On Foot: From Llantwit Major walk along Northern Acc Rd till you reach the entrance of the airfield on your left. The museum's entrance is opposite St. Athan Airport.
South Wales Aviation Museum Opening Times
The museum is open only at weekends (and Wednesday during the school summer holidays) from 10am however the on-site café is open Wednesday through to Sunday, with hot meals served from 2:30pm. No pre-booking is required and due to being a large hangar, during the cold months it is advised to wrap up warm.

A full-paying adult can bring one child for FREE, and additional children for £2.50. Veteran and student cards are also accepted and free entry for carers with valid ID.
