Sychryd Waterfall
Rhigos, Neath, SA11 5NBThe gateway to Waterfall Country in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a large collection of waterfalls in a single area, has no equal in Wales. Sychryd Waterfall, connected from Dinas Rock (Craig y Ddinas), is an impressive waterfall accessible from the Sychryd River. This, along with the other four rivers (Mellte, Hepste, Pyrddin, and Nedd Fechan), flows down gorges before connecting to the River Neath. The trail's return trip distance is 0.4 miles (0.6 km), taking around 20-30 minutes, and is listed as grade 1 (easy). There's also an open Silica Mine, once you arrive at the waterfall.
